Today is 9/3/12. 1st day of Homeschool! Ben is moving into 1st grade and Ella into Kindergarten. We've decided however, based on her ability, to bring Ella through first grade with Ben. This will allow her to grow, we feel, more than she would have been and would make it easier for both children to be going through the same curriculum (which is Sonlight, plus a la carte items for math and writing from our Charter school), instead of bouncing from Ben to Ella and back to Ben, all the while with Joshie running up to Sofia declaring in his megaphone voice (he hasn't developed his indoor voice yet, nor does he sense that there is such a volume!!) that "it stinks" because he himself let "toots" and can't stand his own stench. Then there's Isaac. He's a happy soul who loves to laugh and fusses only when he's hungry and wants to be picked up. Suffice it to say: marrying both children into one curriculum will be helpful!
Below is a picture of our squirrels: Ben: 6 yrs, 8 mos today Ella: 4 years, 9 months Joshie: 2 years 8 mos Isaac: 7 months, today We are embarking, Lord willing, on a wonderful year of studying the bible - from the scriptures and not a children's story book bible. We just finished a wonderful year of the Gospel Story book bible and we were blessed by it. May God's Word feed our family and cause us to worship him! The gospel of course will be the focus and the crux of the gospel is Jesus. We praise God for the His death on the cross in our place to take away our sins, his burial and His resurrection, without which we would have not Justification (Romans 4:25) and would still be in our sins (1 Cor 15:17) and would be, of all people, most to be pitied! (1 Cor 15:19). Receiving daily bread from Him who loves us, The Boudreaus
